Sept 20 - 21 Come join Loops by Keri at the Maritime Festival in Greenport

SO excited to be participating in the Greenport Maritime Festival again this year! If you haven't been- you should GO! It is a day full of fun for the whole family!

I will be there with all of my hand knits- I have been VERY busy with new designs!! It's an amazing festival that is free with lots of ships and music and great food and best of all, Artisan vendors! Including me...but I digress.

Before I get into the knits, I have to show you what I've been working on and the story behind it. Last year at the Maritime Festival, they had a mermaid parade. I told my kids about it and my son looked thoughtful and then said to me "Mom! I've got it! You need to make mermaid costumes for the American Girl Doll! They'll sell like hotcakes!"

I loved his idea and his enthusiasm. My dear friend Sylvie and I worked together and made this! Isn't it awesome! Pink and Purple mermaid costumes are almost complete - stay tuned at the festival! Or if you can't make the festival, you can order them here...

Sylvie, along with another friend Cathy will be sharing a booth with me at the festival. They both made some beautiful sewn creations. Cathy has focused on baby bibs, mother-daughter aprons, children's smocks and more! Sylvie has been creating amazing bags, totes, napkins with matching placemats, pillows - many with nautical and fish themes, incredible things!! PLUS these darling necklaces, that double as headbands. My daughter loves them!

And I'll have my knits - so many new designs and colors.

Mittens and fingerless mitts, for those of you who love to text but have cold hands or work in a cold office! Hats, scarves, infinity loop cowls, headbands, neck warmers, ponchos, baby rompers, shawls....there is something for everyone!

If you can't join us at the festival, you can visit my Etsy site! I do custom orders if you have something specific in mind ;)

Here are just a few! Now I am off to go finish some more! One week to go! :)

Maritime Festival - 2013 Wrap up- SO many knits!!

Wow. How is it Halloween already?! Will post some pics of that soon, but I have been meaning to post these pics for a few weeks.

We did the Maritime Festival a few weeks ago, and I have just got around to blogging about it! It's been a little crazy here, as I am sure you can tell! The focus was getting Etsy up & running!

Here is a look at our booth from the Maritime Festival, which is held in Greenport, NY every September! I highly recommend the festival for great food, music, and of course, artisan crafts and of course, shopping!

The holidays are coming fast. If you see anything you like, let me know. Custom orders are available anytime! :)

You can buy Elena's beautiful dresses by contacting her at elenachambi@yahoo.co.uk

Hope to get her on Etsy soon! Her pieces are gorgeous!!

My Little Miss O has a beautiful one hanging on her wall which matches her room! the clips are in one place so their is no dashing around the house looking for the right ones before the bus comes! And her room is beautiful with this on the wall!

New Hat Design! I am SO in love with these right now!

It's almost fall!

As a knitwear designer, Fall is obviously my favorite season. You get to pile on the knits!

And I have been busy busy busy knitting!

My new favorite?

The Funky Nightcap.

Isn't it awesome?!

I found this beautiful 100% soft wool yarn that is hand dyed and spun in the USA and comes is the most intensely gorgeous colorways. I manipulate it a little bit to get the color changes I want, but LOOK!

Kids and adults alike all respond to these hats! They just love them! I was showing some friends the hats and their little daughters all reached out to put them on! It was super cute!

I got really creative with this pompom. I felt like with the aqua ombre, it needed a pop of color at the end!

Don't you just love the colorways? I have some more muted ones on my needles right now- a denim blue ombre, one that reminds me of the forest as it changes from brown to many shades of green!

The way the colors gradually change into each other? LOVE it!!

Guess who wants the rainbow one?

I will have these at the Maritime Festival in Greenport this weeked, September 21st-22nd. And The Etsy site will be launching in a few days, so if you would like a funky nightcap, you can own one soon!

Go put a hat on! : )
